One of our airplane renters just brought a good destination to our attention, David Wayne Hooks airport, near Houston. It has a restaurant at the FBO (I think they’re open for breakfast and lunch), courtesy cars, and even a water runway for any of you with a seaplane. When you’re looking for a place to go for a long cross country trip, this could be a great destination.
Here is a neat video from Air Tahiti Nui showing the many facets of airline operations. I especially enjoy the end of the video, about 4:55, where the jet flies through a cloud and we see the wingtip vortices as the cloud curls around the plane.
